CMYK Magazine - Issue 36

I finally got my hands on the new CMYK Magazine. The photo annual should be out in the newstands somewhere in Febuary 2007. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the image awards for photography was selected by Jill Greenberg, my former boss. She selected 3 images for publication. A very big thank you to my talents, Angelique Hennessy, Jeremiah Hadjian, Lisa Marie, and Lisa Offermann. Also a huge thank you to Andrea for editing the work and selecting images I would not have made.

True Gamerz Athletic Apparel - El Segundo, California

This was a recent shoot for the new athletic apparel company - TRUE GAMERZ. The company was started by Atheletes, for Atheletes. The main atheletes being sponsored are the Estrada Brothers. The main shot was the Baseball spread that was conceptualized for Kevin Estrada, who plays for the Cardinals. Brother, and former Pro-ball player Marco was shot for the Basketball spread. Robbie and Kobe Estrada's spread will be shot soon. True Gamerz is definitely a new upstart sports clothing and apparel company that's going places. Look out for it.

Images shot are to be used to Nation-wide Advertising, both above and below the line medias.

VISA by AKQA (San Francisco)

I just shot an assignment for VISA. The agency AKQA (San Francisco) handles the account. This was a rush job and the Art Director's did not have time to fly out. Few locations were shot by several photographers represented by Four9Seven. Gail Gonzales shot the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Stephen Dummit shot the Santa Barbara Mission and I stood in the freezing cold, in the water, on the beach to shoot the Santa Monica Pier. Very beautiful shots!

LEGO Fashion Campaign (US and Canada)

This was a fun shoot! I was commissioned to shoot a LEGO Fashion Campaign to be launched at MAGIC, in Las Vegas. I have to admit that working with little 1" Lego men was very challenging. But the final shots turned out Amazing! The set / prop builder did a wonderful job of building the set to scale and the casting of 'celebrity Lego people' was simply perfect. You gotta love the Lego Paparazzi.

CAMERA WORKS - Opening Gala (19th January 2007)

Pictures from the Opening Gala of the Camera Works Photography Gallery Show. It was held at the Pacific Design Center down on Melrose Ave, West Hollywood. It was such an awesome place. Architectually it was impressive and it was just really cool overall.

The show turned out amazing! The entire gallery was packed and the artwork was strong enough to back the show up. There were some amazing pieces by Glen Wexler, Melvin Sokolsky, David Burnett and my favorite of the show was Brett Ratner (director for X-Men, Rush Hour, etc.), for his campaign featuring Nicole Ritchie for Jimmy Choo. His website is HERE. The entire show was really great. Got to meet up with many old friends, big name photographers, reps and other professionals in the industry. There were many rave reviews on my artwork. It was such a great night. I'm definitely honored to be apart of the show. A very big thank you for all of you who showed up.

Wow. The gallery got packed. Imagine twice as many people in this photo.
A commemorative catalog of the show was printed and sold for charity.
