WOOOO HOOOO!!!!

I just found out that I won FIRST PLACE and an Honerable Mention at the Image07 Photography Awards hosted by the American Society of Media Photographers (New York). On top of all the prizes and goodies, there will be a big Gallery show held in New York on the 19th July 2007. I get a one page spread/write up in Photo District News (PDN) and a promotional mailer sent to all the big Art Directors across the Nation. I'll post more details when it becomes available to me. Keep your eyes on this page for updates.

Definitely come by for the show if you're in New York on the 19th July. This is a huge award for me and I'm definitely stoked to be winning such a big competition. I would love to see all of you there.

Sneak Peak! Kevo Signature Series Nike.

A World Exclusive sneak peak at my custom KEVO Signature Series shoes by NIKE. The very same shoes I wear during my photoshoots. The shoes feature my favorite colors Red, White and Black. My logo/name is stitched right on the side. The main shoe fabric is Suede Leather. Red / White are the national colors of Singapore, and the Australian flag shows support of the team, as well as family and friends from there. But seriously folks, the shoes are available thru NikeID. All kicks are customizable.

Hmmm... maybe I should have a camera logo on my shoes? Will that make me a bigger geek than I already am?

(P.S Winston, I'm coming for that Beach House in Sydney!)

Portraits of actress/model Aleksei Archer. Shot in Santa Monica.

Amy Winehouse Music Video - David LaChapelle

Was lucky enough to be involved in a Amy Winehouse music video, directed by one of my favorite photographers, David LaChapelle. The shoot went down on Hollywood Boulevard. Amy is an award winning British artist, and will be performing at the 2007 MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles. And she was really nice too. Who would have thought?!

Offermann Bags - GERMANY

Shot a campaign for Offermann, an International brand based in Germany, famous for their line of leather bags. Images featured Aleksei Archer, a model/actress based in New York and Germany based, Andrea Offermann, who happened to be in Los Angeles for the shoot. It was a pretty interesting shoot that was shot/produced in Santa Monica, California.

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival - April 27-29th 2007

Spent 4 days in Palm Springs for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. And it was AWESOME! The sun was blazing hot and just insane (whaddya expect for the desert?). There were tons of my favorite bands and musicians playing. The lineup included Bjork, Interpol, DJ Shadow, Stephen Marley, Satellite Party, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Girl Talk, Cut Chemist, The Teddybears and RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE!! I'm glad that I didn't have to come down here to shoot the bands and work. Got to meet and hangout with lotsa people and musicians. All said and done, it was definitely a weekend that's gonna be sitting in my memory for a long time.

FourTwentyFour Concert - The Knitting Factory, Hollywood

Got a request from my buddies MERCENARIES, ONESIDEZERO and RED SNOW to shoot a concert going down at The Knitting Factory in Hollywood. It was a huge concert in recognition of the Armenian Genocide in 1915. The guys invited me on their stage and gave me an all-access pass to shoot from anywhere. That was alot of fun! Things got a little crazy. Other bands that were featured were Vokee, Medagh, Full Force Rising and Hypnogaja. Attached is a small sample of the images taken. Images should be available thru the bands respective websites. Check em out.
